MY APPROACH

Life can feel overwhelming at times—whether due to difficult relationships, painful experiences, or a general sense of being lost or stuck. As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of approaches to tailor our work to your unique needs. I believe that meaningful change begins with a sense of safety in the therapeutic relationship. When we feel safe, we can start to explore the thoughts, emotions, and behaviours that may be causing distress or holding us back.

I work with clients from all walks of life, supporting a wide range of concerns. My compassionate and collaborative approach aims to create a trusting space for self-exploration. Together, we’ll look at how your past may be influencing your present, with the intention of helping you build a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

People come to me for help with a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through counselling:

Anxiety

Depression

Stress

Bereavement

Relationships

Self esteem

Trauma

Anger management

OCD

Phobias

Addictions

Work related issues

Self-harm

Eating disorders

A SECURE AND PROFESSIONAL SPACE TO BE HEARD

Counselling offers a confidential and supportive environment where you can share your thoughts and feelings openly. It’s a space where you’ll be met with respect, understanding and compassion- without judgement. Here, you are free to explore what’s on your mind and express yourself in complete confidence.

FINDING YOUR WAY THROUGH LIFE'S CHALLENGES

Challenges such as relationship difficulties, anxiety, panic attacks, low self-esteem, or depression are common experiences in everyday life. However, they can sometimes feel overwhelming to manage without support. Counselling offers a safe space to explore what you’re going through, understand the root causes, and find new ways of coping, healing, and moving forward.

DISCOVER NEW WAYS TO MOVE FORWARD

Working together, I can help you gain a deeper understanding of the difficulties you face, recognise patterns and beliefs that may no longer serve you, explore how you navigate them, and discover new ways to make healthier choices moving forward.

CONTACT ME

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how therapy works, or to arrange an initial free 20 minute consultation. This allows us to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and to see whether I may be the right therapist for you.

All enquires are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential and uses secure phone and email services.

I offer secure online therapy to clients across the UK, including London, Putney, Greater Manchester, the South West, the Midlands, North East England, South Wales, and Scotland (covering Edinburgh, Glasgow, and beyond).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Counselling vs Therapy: What’s the Difference?

Counselling and therapy are terms often used interchangeably, but they can sometimes describe different ways of working.

Counselling is often most helpful when you’re facing a specific concern in the present. It provides a safe, supportive space to talk things through, gain understanding, and explore practical steps forward. For many people, this can bring clarity and relief within a limited number of sessions.

Therapy, on the other hand, usually goes deeper. It looks at patterns, past experiences, and underlying issues that may be having a stronger or longer-lasting impact on your life. This kind of work often benefits from a more open-ended approach, giving time for reflection, growth, and lasting change.

The best fit depends on you and the challenges you’re facing. Sometimes short-term counselling provides just the right level of support, while at other times therapy offers the depth that’s needed.

How Long Will I Have to Wait for an Appointment?

I aim to offer a first appointment- an initial assessment within 1-2 weeks. After that, we’ll arrange regular weekly sessions at a time that works for you and fits with my availability. How soon these sessions can begin will depend on when a suitable time slot is free.

Will Everything I Say Be Kept Confidential?

Yes. What you share with me is treated with care and kept private. This is one of the main differences between speaking with a trained professional and talking with a friend or family member—it provides a safe space where you can speak openly, without judgement and feel heard.

I work within the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) framework and regulations, which means confidentiality is central to my practice. I also meet regularly with a professional supervisor, who helps me reflect on my work to ensure you are receiving the best possible support. These discussions never include identifying details about you.

There are rare occasions when I may not be able to keep complete confidentiality- for example, if I believe you are at serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or if I am legally required to share information. If that situation ever arose, I would always do my best to discuss it with you first.

Most people find that knowing their sessions are private gives them the freedom to share what’s really on their mind, and this sense of safety is often one of the most valuable parts of therapy.

Can I Bring a Friend or Relative With Me?

It’s completely natural to feel a little anxious about starting counselling or therapy, and sometimes people wonder if they can bring someone along for support. I understand that- it can feel like a big step.

Counselling is your space, and I want to hear your perspective, feelings, and experiences directly from you. During sessions, I will always ask questions and help clarify your thoughts if you’re finding it difficult to express yourself.

For this reason, I meet with clients one-to-one. This ensures the sessions remain focused on your experience while providing a safe space for you to explore and understand your feelings.
